The Team
Harvest Time Bible Church is pastored by Brother Sewdat Sewpersaud and his wife Camille. Brother Sewdat’s heart and deep passion to sow into the Kingdom of God led him to upend a lucrative, successful job and prosperous, comfortable life in Canada to return back to his home country of Guyana, and to establish Harvest Time Bible Church.
Overview
Over the past few years, Brother Sewdat has tirelessly focused his energy at teaching the Word of God to the congregation at Harvest Time, providing food and necessary aid to the local communities, and going out to evangelize and help the local people, many of whom live in a state of impoverishment, orphaned children, the medically incapacitated, and seniors who live alone and need assistance.
Vision
Brother Sewdat's vision is to further grow the community-focused approach by Harvest Time Bible Church through such medium and long-term goals:
-
Expanding the team to provide more local support to the residents living in Dharm-Shala (a housing development and community built to provide charity and support to impoverished people, located close by in New Amsterdam);
-
Regular outreaches to local orphanages (reaching 60+ orphaned children);
-
Ministering to local primary schools and busy marketplaces;
-
Brother Sewdat's fervent desire is to reach out beyond the local community via the airwaves, through radio evangelism, endeavouring to reach a great harvest of souls across Guyana.
"Dispense justice for the needy and the orphan; the poor and impoverished vindicate. Rescue the needy and destitute, and from the hand of the wicked deliver them."
Psalm 82:3-4
